The esim was easy to set up, it worked great in Paris and on the road and it was easy to top-up. No need for additional applications. Did not use it for calls through voip, just for texting, maps, news and some apps (for example buying transportation tickets from the airport on the phone instead of waiting in an endless line recommends having an esim active and ready).
